Quentin Blake

I have always been a major fan of Quentin Blake's work - I have been reading Roald Dahl's books since I can remember myself. His figures are characterised by ingenious simplicity and the way he handles the white space is something that only a few artist can achieve. He mostly works with a pen and watercolors, which is very admirable given the fact that his artwork often looks a lot more complicated and thought-through that meets the eye. I would love to see some more mature work from him, even though I doubt that is ever going to happen since he has long established his visual language.
