Laura Carlin's work may not have really influenced my own output but that does not mean that there is a lot of things to appreciate about it. She makes simple but believable figures and very abstract, almost child- like drawings of landscapes and buildings, accompanied by a great deal of sophistication, especially when it comes to color. In my opinion she is part of a new movement, combination of hand drawn imagery and digital collages.![](https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjQwO3w0SQJogc9az7sHxgFFdnG-x3jOYJlGFf8AVyIN6GE9nv4GnkReNN6ZFnO_yl0FPqFYINHXhI-lW8U3bvBxvLA8GrRAtktVXQAoBPK2b1JkmHJG0t_t8C3Or6htcmSc-IsCxb5G5A/s320/900.jpg)
